So you might have probably notice that I haven’t been updating the site as of late. I’ve been extremely busy starting my first year of college and exploring the college life. So right now, I am asking anyone who is interested in having a co-web position on this website. You must be able to update the site daily with the latest news and images, be familiar with using FTP, Coppermine, Wordpress, and HTML. It would also be great if you had some picture sources (but its fine if you don’t). Also a major plus if you can create the bomb.com layouts. If your interested, e-mail me at aubreyodaydotus@gmail.com. Also shout out to Ben for keeping the site up to date the best he can…..your awesome! » Filed under: Website with No Comments

As many of you probably noticed, the main URL of the site is no longer www.aubreyoday.us because the domain expired and I have no contacted with the guy who purchased it for me. So from now on, www.aubreyoday.org will be the URL. Please spread the word around! Also, the new gallery link is www.aubreyoday.net. And yes I will be fixing the news images soon.

So I know I haven’t been tending to the site lately because news is kind of slow in Aubrey’s world right now and I’ve just been enjoying my summer a lot. But for those that missed her UStream two days ago, here is the low down on what went down (because I was there to witness it). She was in the studio with Adonis with a navy blue knee length dress without hair extensions. She looked absolutely stunning, but she looked a bit tired from the bags seen under her eyes (or the light that shining directly above her caused that illusion.) Here are some key points in the UStream:
And that is all folks! During the stream, Aubrey gave me three shout outs, one to Iowa, one to Texas, and she also answered one of my questions about when promotions for the show will start, and she said after she is finished filming. » Filed under: News Articles with 3 Comments

Aubrey has opened a USTREAM account! This is something a lot of people have been asking for, and with good reason – last night she played snippets of songs from her upcoming album! Be sure to keep up with Aubrey’s twitter to find out when she will be streaming next and then head on over to http://www.ustream.tv/channel/theaubreyodayproject to catch all the live action! I’ve posted a video after the jump of Aubrey calling a fan from North Carolina .. hit us up in the comments if you caught the stream or if Aubs called you!

From the above Twitpic last night we can gather than Aubrey is recording at least part of her album at the iconic Westlake Studios. Studio A of Westlake is where Michael Jackson recorded his phenomenally successful album, Thriller, and other acts to produce hits at the venue include Josh Groban, Quincy Jones, Alanis Morissette, Dave Matthews, Madonna, Aaliyah, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Nine Inch Nails. The fact that Aubrey is recording her album in this prestigious location suggests nothing but good things about her music, but let’s hope she won’t be visiting the studio for much longer and the album will be on it’s way to us!

So news has been super slow recently, but there are a few little snippets of info on what is going on in Aubrey’s life. She will soon be appearing on Russell Simmons‘ show (which she is seen filming for above) at some point in the near future, although her role in the show is unknown! She also recently appeared in an article discussing the premiere of the second season of hit MTV show Jersey Shore (read the full article here). It is also apparent from her tweets that Aubrey is still filming her reality show, rehearsing with Gil and hitting the studio hard! News will become a lot more frequent the closer we get to the premiere date of The Aubrey O’Day Project and the release date of her album, so hopefully we will have something much more exciting to share with you very soon! Finally, I have posted the clip of Aubrey’s Silent Library appearance, after the break.

Aubrey O’Day Is An Inspiration To Women Everywhere: EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEWAUBREY O’DAY’S CANDID AND EMOTIONAL INTERVIEW WITH BLOGXILLAEarlier this week I talked to our home girl Aubrey O’Day. Once the bad girl of Diddy’s Making The Band Show, she will now be the starring in her own reality show on The Oxygen Network. According to MTV an executive at Oxygen said that the show will likely resonate with fans who’ve watched O’Day’s career rise and fall over the past six years.

Singer Aubrey O’Day is returning to reality TV, landing her own show on Oxygen. The former lead vocalist of all-girl band Danity Kane was discovered in 2004 as part of MTV’s series “Making the Band.” Producer and judge Sean Combs famously fired O’Day during an episode of the show two years ago. Now, Oxygen’s “The Aubrey O’Day Project” will chronicle her attempt to make a comeback in the music industry while working with a demanding team of industry professionals. “Young women have watched the ups and downs of Aubrey through the years, and they continue to cheer her on,” said Amy Introcaso-Davis, senior vp original programming and development at Oxygen. “We’re excited to deliver her story as she battles the issues that resonate with our audience, from self-doubt and body image to an intense desire for success and redemption.” Since leaving Danity Kane, O’Day has appeared in musicals on Broadway and in Las Vegas. “Aubrey O’Day” is produced by Ish Entertainment with Michael Hirschorn, Madison Merritt and Wendy Roth as executive producers. No airdate or episode count has been determined. Oxygen continues to expand its reality efforts, last week picking up Season 2 of “Bad Girls Club” spinoff “Love Games,” which became the network’s most-watched freshman season of a series among its target 18-34 demographic. Check out this newly leaked track of Danity Kane entitled Stop Time produced by Danja during the WTTDH era. Check out the song and tell us what you think. Personally, I’m glad the song didn’t make the final cut…a little bit to slowed pace for me. And sorry for the lack of updates lately…nothing much has been going on with Ms. Aubrey and I’ve been really busy enjoying summer! Hopefully Aubrey goes full force soon..I’ll be waiting. » Filed under: Singles with 2 Comments

Here is the full episode of “When I was 17″ featuring Aubrey. They aired some unseen footage of Aubrey when she was 17 and the stories she tells are actually really interesting. I will try to get a download link for those that can’t watch MTV soon. Enjoy! Update: For those outside of the US that are unable to watch on MTV.com, Aubrey’s part of the episode and a way to trick the MTV site (for international fans) are after the jump! » Filed under: Television with No Comments

“Successful black men are extinct. We’re important.” Please. Drop the delusions of grandeur, gents. We see right through you! This paper-thin layer of unjustifiable ‘swagger’ and pseudo-confidence is simply masquerading the vulnerability and self-doubt of the modern day man. The subtext is clear… spineless men of all creeds are waving the proverbial white flag of defeat. Unable to cope with the demands of a new class of empowered, strong-willed and fiercely independent women, they’ve resorted to projecting their insecurities on those that, god forbid, expect them to live up to their potential. Let’s be clear. This is not a race issue. It’s yet another twist on the age-old enigma that is gender relationships. Despite what you may have read, I’m a White girl that couldn’t cook to save her life, treats no man like a king and certainly doesn’t obey dictatorial male ego, even if it means my job… but I certainly can cater to deserving men who are secure enough to take on the challenge of a strong woman. We can be loud, opinionated, and rebellious, and we make no apologies for it. It’s not a Black thing, or a White thing. It’s a women thing, and trust me when I say that the sooner you men come to realize it, the better off you’ll be. Hollow diatribes like this, reeking of machismo and senseless boasting, are nothing new. Just a transparent attempt to silence the collective female voice. It’s telling that what the author likes best about his Ivy League educated girlfriend is that she “do all the shit that I say.” She’s apparently a “smart girl, too,” but no surprise that that he ranks that trait a distant second behind obedience. And, sidebar… What’s it mean to “stand by your man”? As far as I’ve witnessed from thinkers such as this, its simply code for wanting their women to sit idly by as they lie and cheat their way through the relationship. Please me, but don’t bitch when I’m pleasing your sister and best friend, or blatantly lying to your face about the weekend’s captivating conquests! I suppose it’s our fault for not ‘standing by you’? Forgiveness is one thing. Asking women to turn a blind eye, and “bow down,” is quite another. No woman wants to be a man’s pawn. Relationships are meant to be a joint venture, not a form of employment if only fitting the appropriate ‘wifey’ credentials. I’d shudder to think that all men harbor the views championed by the Thug named Slim. I’m waiting for a knight in shining armor to prove me wrong, but after reading an article like this… once again, I won’t hold my breath. Source: Vibe.com » Filed under: News Articles with No Comments

A new fad in China has zoo owners using dye and haircuts to make their dogs look like tigers and panda bears. Fox 29’s Steve Keeley showed some of the pet pictures on “Good Day” and laid part of the blame on singer Aubrey O’Day! The dogs are specially groomed to look like exotic animals. One zoo in the eastern province of Henan took some stray dogs, and made them into the exotic animals using paint. But other examples of dogs being painted as pandas have been seen in China in the past. Back in the U.S.A., Keeley also found people on the Internet who have dyed their dogs with exotic colors. Keeley said O’Day is one person who sets a bad example by dyeing her dog. Source: MyFoxPhilly.com To “Shanelly”, you wait and see! Aubrey is coming back. And I haven’t heard anything about Aubrey dying a bunch of her friend’s dogs, have you?

Aubrey O’Day Thought Sex Was ‘Disgusting’ In High School, On ‘When I Was 17′ These days, Aubrey O’Day is known as a sexy pop singer who, among other things, has appeared in a Vegas stage show nearly nude. But back in high school, the Playboy model thought sex was kind of gross. On this week’s episode of “When I Was 17,” O’Day admits that having sex was not her number-one goal in life.
