“I wanna see what you’re working with,” the ladies of Danity Kane sang Monday at the Wiltern during the final stop of the Making the Band 4 Tour. That line more or less encapsulates the philosophy that defines “Making the Band,” the honestly titled MTV reality series from whence Danity Kane sprang: Lorded over by rapper, producer and Bad Boy Records impresario Sean “Diddy” Combs, “Making the Band” follows Combs on his warts-and-all journey to assemble a pop act from scratch and force it on the world. The show wants to convince us of Diddy’s skill as a showbiz alchemist; we want to find out how resistant common metals are to change. Danity Kane, whose road to stardom was paved in “Making the Band’s” third season, has fared the best of any of the series’ groups so far. (If you don’t remember Da Band, from Season 2, you’re not alone.)
The quintet offers up glittery, precision-geared soul songs about unfaithful men and the importance of a regular night out; both of Danity Kane’s albums, including March’s “Welcome to the Dollhouse,” have debuted atop the national album chart. At the Wiltern — where the group was introduced by Diddy himself, who wondered aloud if there were any future stars in the audience — Danity Kane performed a tidy 45-minute set that emphasized the members’ elaborate hairdos as much as their singing voices. That was fine: Part of what’s appealing about these five women is their obvious glee in playing the juicy role of pop star, particularly when it comes to donning the outfits the job requires. The highlight was “Show Stopper,” from the group’s 2006 debut, which Dawn Richard dedicated to “all the haters” — a species she seems thrilled to have finally encountered. Source: LA Times
So here are two videos to highlight the night, first video is of “Right Now”, where the ladies bring out Donnie to be serenaded, the second clip if of “Ecstasy” in which the guys of Day26 come out. Aubrey was totally into it with Mike ahahha.
Here are pictures from last nights concert at the Wiltern in Los Angeles, this is the last date of the tour as many of you know. Click the thumbnails above to view the pics.
The tour officially ends tonight in Los Angeles, California. Congratulations to the girls for headlining their first tour in which they did amazingly well. I’m very upset that I did not get to attend as I’m broke as a joke and can’t afford to fly out to the cities, but hopefully I will see these ladies one day. But moving on, I’m very anxious as to what the girls have in store next for us, BET Awards, Bad Girls, Dubai, and much more!! AHH!
I have uploaded some concert pictures to the gallery. These were from the the Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms Casino Resort in Vegas. There are rumors floating around that the girls had a fight backstage before the concert. But I wouldn’t believe anything, until its been confirmed by one of the girls. To view the pictures, click on the thumbnails above. ENJOY!

I added about 80 pictures from the concert in Baltimore last night held at the Pier Six Pavillion, Dawn’s home town. Here is the link for a compilation of videos from that night, enjoy: HERE!.
New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom was dense with Making the Band loyalists Wednesday night (May 28) as giddy fans anxiously waited for Bad Boy’s reality rookies to kickoff their first collective tour. Labelmate Cheri Dennis bolted onstage first, opening with her hit single “I Love You” and transitioning into the jumpier “Portrait of Love.” Clad in a skin-tight black dress and a gold belt, she strutted across the stage rousing the audience into dance mode. Girls clung to each another with excitement as Donnie Klang—the evening’s second act and the only solo artist from Making the Band 4—took the stage in a black leather getup with female backup dancers serving as accessories. Dispelling the “white-boy-that-can’t-dance” stigma from the show, Donnie flitted in synch (pun intended) to the electro-poppy “Dr. Love.” He then wooed a bevy of screaming women during “Take You There,” revealing his Bad Boy boot camp six-pack to the crowd.
The raucous audience chanted before the spotlight panned to Day26 in black suits, shades and Michael Jackson-esque red gloves. With vocals gelling more than ever, the quintet phased in and out of up-tempo tracks like “Exclusive.” Using chairs as props, Day26’s dance routines were reminiscent of old school New Edition. Mario and Cassie danced along to “Got Me Going” while vocal coach Ankh Ra nodded approvingly. Willie, the crowd favorite, nearly incited a riot when he took off his fitted shirt and tossed it in mid-performance.
Diddy then introduced the evening’s headliners—Danity Kane, his “international superstars.” Draped in racy black and white dresses, the girls opened with “Bad Girl,” grooving in a robotic fashion as flashing lights illuminated their routine. The byproduct of choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson’s “Boom boom caks,” the girls hit every dance move to perfection, baiting the audience with sultry vocals. The biggest crowd pleaser was “Damaged,” from their sophomore album, Welcome To The Dollhouse. Diddy twirled and pumped his fists throughout their set, grinning ear to ear. After presenting both groups with Gold plaques, Diddy said he nearly had tears in his eyes (along with dollar signs) watching the show.
“Bitchassness” aside, the sold-out venue and fanatical crowd proved that the Making The Band camp is more than a bunch of overnight celebrities.
The ladies kicked off their Making The Band 4 Tour last night in New York City at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Opening acts Cherri Denis and Donnie Klang open the show getting the crowd all hyped up. Than came Day 26, performing a 5 song set. Word is the crowd was their for our ladies Danity Kane, “shouting DK DK DK” 5 minutes before it was their turn. They started off with the Intro for Welcome to the Dollhouse, then the rest was history. At the end of the show, Diddy presented the girls with a plaque for their gold album “Welcome to the Dollhouse”! Here is the setlist for the tour:

What’s the best way to celebrate back-to-back #1 Billboard album debuts? How about a national tour? That’s what Danity Kane and Day26 will do starting May 24 when they kick off “Making the Band 4 — The Tour,” which will hit major cities from coast to coast, beginning with a gig at Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre in Orlando, Florida.
In addition to the sometimes romantically entangled “Making the Band” boy and girl groups, the tour will also feature breakout “Band” star Donnie Klang, who Diddy diverted from Day2in order to offer him a solo contract with Bad Boy. His debut, Come into My World, is due out in June, and the first single, “Take You There,” is out now. When Kane’s second album, Welcome to the Dollhouse, recently debuted atop the Billboard 200, they became the first female group in Billboard history to have their debut and sophomore album enter the main chart at #1. Day26’s self-titled debut hit the top spot one week after Kane, [LINK hit the top spot one week after Kane TO 1584646] setting a record for the biggest-selling debut from a male R&B group in the SoundScan era. Hey guys there literally nothing new to post about, I suspect the tour is down the drain because Diddy is to busy counting his cash rather than resolve whatever is going on with BadBoy. But don’t worry I have a few surprises in store for you guys, so keep checking back. Also check out the gallery because I have been uploading a lot of images. Alright that’s all for now, talk to y’all soon.
