A reader of the site, Matt, has asked me to post an important message on the site regarding the multiple purchase policy. (If you are planning to buy more than one album, which you should!) So remember this one important rule when you go out and buy the album this week:

When buying multiple copies of the album, make sure to purchase them on separate receipts so that each album purchased is tabulated towards Billboard’s end-of-the-week sales. So just make up an excuse or something, or just buy one and go buy the other one in another lane.

Bad Boy Records has announced the upcoming release of “WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE,” the eagerly anticipated sophomore album from Danity Kane. The album — which features the new hit single, “Damaged” — arrives in stores and at all online retailers on March 18th. “Damaged” sees the RIAA platinum-certified girl group — currently starring in the latest and greatest season of MTV’s blockbuster reality series, “Making The Band” — joining forces with the up-and-coming production team, Stereotypes, known for their hit
collaborations with such artists as Cupid, Ne-Yo, and Omarion. On Tuesday, March 18th, Dawn, Aubrey, D. Woods, Shannon, and Aundrea will appear live on “TRL” to herald the arrival of “WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE.” The week will also see visits to MTV’s “The Big Ten” and “Sucka Free,” as well as BET’s “106 & Park.” Additional upcoming TV performances include the nationally syndicated “Tyra Banks Show” and Fox’s “The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet” (check local listings). Danity Kane — currently featured on the covers of both King and Right On! — are now in the midst of a month-long promo tour, with stops slated for radio stations in major markets across the country through mid-April.

Last — but most certainly not least — Danity Kane will perform live on the eagerly anticipated season finale of MTV’s “Making The Band,” set to air Sunday, March 23rd at 8 pm EDT (check local listings). The broadcast will also feature the official announcement of Danity Kane’s upcoming North American concert tour, slated to hit the road in May. Danity Kane will celebrate the March 18th release of “WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE” with an exclusive in-store event at New York City’s Best Buy (located at 529 Fifth Avenue). The group will be meeting fans and signing copies of their new CD, beginning at 7 pm.

“WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE” follows the “Making The Band 3″-winning group’s blockbuster debut, which made a spectacular #1 debut on the SoundScan/Billboard 200 album chart upon its initial 2006 release.
